Organisation
The Lunar Saxophone Quartet is a non-profit organisation based in Cardiff, Wales and London, England. The organisation’s artistic mission is to present and promote contemporary music and expand the repertoire for saxophone quartet. The LSQ commissions several new works each year and performs on average around twenty concerts each year. Performances often include educational and outreach activities in conjunction with the Live Music Now! Scheme. The LSQ strives to make contemporary music accessible to audiences and also maintains a commitment to education by participating master classes and coaching sessions at primary, secondary, and university age.
The LSQ is self managed and the organisation is funded by individuals, foundations, and government sources, including: Arts Council Wales, MBF, Ty Cerdd and the PRS Foundation.
