Lewis Evans - tenor Saxophone Lewis studied Saxophone with Gerard McChrystal at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, graduating with a First-Class Honours Degree and winning numerous awards along the way. Since graduation he has continued his performance development with John Harle in London. Accolades include: London Saxophone Competition 2006 Solo runner-up RWCMD Woodwind Solo Prize Winner 2005 RWCMD Woodwind Ensemble Prize Winner 2005 NYOS Staffa Awards Nominee 2005 Ernest and Doris Haigh Memorial Award Winner 2005 In demand as a tutor and performer, Lewis has given concerts across the UK and Europe in a variety of genres from jazz and orchestral to pop, swing, soul and contemporary music.
